Turkey to provide $50 mln in loans to businessmen investing in Tanzania
Eximbank, Turkey's official export credit agency, will provide $50 million in loans to businessmen who invest in Tanzania, Foreign Trade Minister Zafer Çağlayan announced on Friday in Dar es Salaam.

After his official visit to Ethiopia, where he expressed Turkey's willingness to sign a free trade agreement (FTA) with the country, Çağlayan travelled to Tanzania on Thursday night. He met with Mustapha Mkullo, Tanzania's minister of finance and economic affairs, on Friday morning.
He is delighted to be in Tanzania, Çağlayan said, adding that he came to the country accompanied by a large business delegation to improve Turkish-Tanzanian friendship and trade relations. Briefing Mkullo on the Turkish economy, Çağlayan said Turkey is one of the countries that have successfully recovered from the global financial crisis of 2009. “We would like to share our experience, knowledge and power in our region with Tanzania,” Çağlayan also said.
Mkullo said he was pleased with Çağlayan's visit and thanked the minister for the $50 million loan. Çağlayan is scheduled to participate in a Turkey-Tanzania Trade and Business Forum on Saturday. He will also meet with a number of Tanzanian ministers. Sources
